They sometimes fund external evaluations, most often conducted by northern researchers, to demonstrate effectiveness. In addition, there are multiple databases, often collected by researchers from the South, useful for this type of study. But the multiplicity of actors, collaborations, issues and potential conflicts of interest pose significant challenges in terms of the use of secondary data and the scientific authorship of publications that may result.
